Research Program - Measuring Guide

How Footle sizing works

Every Footle order is personally reviewed for fit. You measure both feet, you tell us the numbers, and we pick the size — left and right, independently. If we get it wrong, we send a replacement at no cost. No returns, no shipping back.

This works because we've engineered the Footle around a naturally wide toe box. There's no need to size up just to make room for your feet — give us your real measurements and we'll handle the rest.

How to measure your feet

You'll need: a piece of paper (A4), a wall, a pen, and a ruler with millimeter markings.

1. Prepare. Place the paper flat on a hard floor, with one edge pressed against the wall.

2. Stand. Put your full weight on the foot, heel pressed firmly against the wall, foot on the paper.

3. Mark length. With the pen held vertically (not angled), mark the paper at the tip of your longest toe — whichever toe sticks out furthest, which isn't always the big toe.

4. Mark width. With your foot still flat, mark the paper at the widest point on each side of the ball of your foot.

5. Measure. Use the ruler to measure:

  • Length — from the wall edge to the longest-toe mark, in millimeters.
  • Width — between the two side marks, in millimeters.

6. Repeat for the other foot. Measure both feet separately — they're often slightly different, and we size each one independently.

Tip: Measure at the end of the day. Your feet are at their widest then, and that's the measurement that matters for daily wear.

What happens if the size is wrong

We measure carefully, but feet are complicated and we get it wrong sometimes. If your Footles don't fit, we send a replacement at no cost — you don't ship anything back. The wrong-size pair stays with you.
